What has always been my creative hobby has since developed into a full time career and in May 2005 I fulfilled a dream and opened my own small Studio Art Gallery at Aghilly, Buncrana, Co.Donegal. Ireland.

Hi, I’m Stephen Diggin and although Derry born I have lived all my life in Buncrana on the Inishowen Peninsula in Co.Donegal.

Inishowen Peninsula I am privileged to live and work in the picturesque Inishowen Peninsula which provides me with much of the inspiration I need to create many of my land/seascapes. I work mainly in oils and my subject matter varies from still-life, portraits, land and seascapes, abstracts to caricature type depictions of animals.

The Palette Knife I have more recently developed my use of the palette knife applying thick oil paint directly on to the canvas using more vivid colours. At times my land and seascapes are painted with colours that although dream-like, they succeed in creating images that are both topographically accurate and pleasing to the eye.

My work can be found in private collections as far afield as New Zealand, USA, Canada, Germany, France, England, Scotland and of course Ireland both North and South.
